Type B Codes

Type "B" Codes:






Type "B" codes are indicated when the system recognizes malfunctions in certain components. While driving with cruise on, system is cancelled by a malfunction in actuator, speed sensor, or control switch circuit. Main switch indicator will blink 5 times.

NOTE: To save malfunction codes, inspect before turning ignition and main switches "OFF." If power is cut, codes will be erased.

As with "A" codes, "B" codes are flashed by the main switch indicator light. To read "B" codes:

1. With vehicle speed less than 10 mph (16 kph), press set/coast switch 3 times within 2 seconds.
2. Read codes on main switch indicator light.
3. Codes appear in numerical order starting with 11.
4. Display stops when vehicle speed exceeds 10 mph (16 kph) or main switch is turned off.
5. If code(s) do not flash, Code Inspections
