1. Perform "Initial Test Drive".
2. Check ignition timing and engine vacuum (Initial Checks). Fundamentals and Basics
3. Disconnect the battery, remove the front tire, place a fender cover over the radiator (Initial Preparations). Fundamentals and Basics
4. Pre-position crankshaft to #1 TDC compression. Fundamentals and Basics
5. Remove timing belt. Service and Repair

6. Inspect cam/crank seals, water pump, and tensioner/idler pulleys (Pre-Installation Inspection). Testing and Inspection
7. Install timing belt. Service and Repair

8. Reconnect battery.
9. Start engine, check the following:
- Ignition timing. Adjustments
- Engine vacuum. Fundamentals and Basics
- Abnormal noises/vibrations from timing belt cover. Testing and Inspection
10. Perform "After Repairs Test Drive".
