Idle Up Control Valve: Locations

CEC Component Locations:

AIR FLOW METER:

Air Flow Meter - Engine Compartment:

The air flow meter is located in the right front section of the engine compartment.

CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY:
Located in right kick panel just under glove box.

DIAGNOSTIC CHECK CONNECTOR:
The diagnostic check connector is located on the left side of the engine compartment adjacent to the strut tower.

EFI MAIN RELAY:
Located at front left side of engine compartment.

EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR (CALIF. ONLY):
This temperature sensor is located at the EGR valve, in the line to the intake manifold.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT (ECU):

ECU Location:

The ECU is located under the dash on the right side, behind the glove box.


EGR VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (VSV):
Located under the intake manifold.

FUSES AND FUSIBLE LINKS

Location Of Fuses And Fusible Links:

IDLE SPEED CONTROL (ISC) VALVE:
The ISC valve is attached to the intake manifold on the left side of the engine compartment.

INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR (THA):
The intake air temperature sensor is located inside the air flow meter.

KNOCK CONTROL SENSOR:
The knock sensor is mounted in the engine block on the left side center.

NEUTRAL START SWITCH:
The Neutral Start Switch is located on the left side of the transmission, just past the bell housing.

OXYGEN SENSOR (OS):
The oxygen sensor is mounted in the exhaust manifold.

SUB-OXYGEN SENSOR (CALIF. ONLY):
The Sub oxygen sensor is mounted in the exhaust pipe just past the catalytic converter.

THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TPS):
The throttle position sensor is located on the throttle body assembly near engine center.

VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR (VSS):
Located behind the instrument panel.

WATER TEMPERATURE SENSOR (THW):
This sensor is located in the water outlet housing.
