Dashboard / Instrument Panel: Service and Repair

1. Remove front pillar garnish and door scuff plate. Then remove steering wheel, combination switch and turn signal bracket.
2. Remove rear console box, console upper panel and console box.
3. Remove No. 1 lower finish panel and lower insert.
4. Remove No. 2 heater to register duct, No. 2 undercover and No. 2 lower finish panel.
5. Remove center cluster finish panel, cluster finish panel and instrument cluster.
6. Remove radio, heater control, ashtray receptacle retainer and clock. Disconnect necessary connectors.
7. On models with passenger side air bag, remove glove compartment door finish plate, then pull up and disconnect air bag connector.
8. Remove glove compartment door assembly.
9. Remove front air bag assembly.
10. Remove No. 2 side defroster nozzle and bracket.
11. On all models, remove steering column.
12. Remove five bolts, five screws, a nut and then the dash panel.
13. Reverse procedure to install.
