Air Bag Is Deployed

1. Perform diagnostic system check.
2. With driver and passenger side air bag units removed, perform visual check for the following items:
a. Check for deformation of horn button contact plate of steering wheel. Replace steering wheel assembly if deformation has occurred
b. There should be no interference between steering wheel pad and steering wheel, and clearance should be uniform all the way around when new steering wheel pad is installed.
c. Check passenger side instrument panel and air bag mounting for damage.
3. Replace the air bag unit, both front sensors and center air bag sensor after a collision.
