Evaporator Core: Service and Repair





REMOVAL
1. REMOVE COOLING UNIT. Service and Repair

2. REMOVE EVAPORATOR
(a) Using a knife, cut off each packing.
(b) Remove the 3 screws and 3 clips, separate the upper and lower case, then remove the evaporator.

INSTALLATION HINT: If evaporator was replaced, add compressor oil to the compressor.
Add 40 cc (1.4 fl.oz.)

Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent


INSPECTION
1. CHECK EVAPORATOR FINS FOR BLOCKAGE
If the fins are clogged, clean them with compressed air.

Caution: Never use water to clean the evaporator.

2. CHECK FITTINGS FOR CRACKS OR SCRATCHES
Repair as necessary.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
