Lower Suspension Arm





REMOVAL
1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

Torque: 110 Nm (1,150 kgf.cm, 83 ft. lbs.)

2. REMOVE STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY
3. DISCONNECT STABILIZER BAR LINK
4. DISCONNECT SHOCK ABSORBER FROM LOWER SUSPENSION ARM
5. DISCONNECT LOWER BALL JOINT
a. Support the upper suspension arm and steering knuckle securely.
b. Remove the cotter pin and nut from the lower ball joint.

Torque: 142 Nm (1,450 kgf.cm, 105 ft. lbs.)





c. Using SST, disconnect the lower ball joint from the lower suspension arm.

NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the lower ball joint.

HINT: At the time of installation, face the cotter pin hole of the lower ball joint forward.

6. REMOVE LOWER SUSPENSION ARM





a. Place matchmarks on the front and rear adjusting cams.
b. Remove the 2 bolts, nuts, adjusting cams and lower suspension arm.

Torque: 130 Nm (1,325 kgf.cm, 96 ft. lbs.)

7. REMOVE NO.1 AND NO.2 SPRING BUMPERS





Using SST, remove the No. 1 and No. 2 spring bumpers.
SST 09922-10010

Torque: 23 Nm (235 kgf.cm, 17 ft. lbs.)

HINT: At the time of installation, use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 34.5 cm (13.6 inch).

REPLACEMENT
1. REMOVE BUSHING
a. Using a chisel and hammer, pry up the flange of the bushing.





b. Using SST and a press, remove the bushing.
SST 09613-26010, 09632-36010, 09950-00020
2. INSTALL NEW BUSHING





Using SST and a press, install a new bushing.
SST 09316-20011, 09710-30021 (09710-03121)

INSTALLATION
Installation Is In the reverse order of removal.
AFTER INSTALLATION, CHECK FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
