Front Wiper and Washer

REMOVAL
1. POSITION WIPER ARM

HINT: For easy removal of the wiper arms, operate the wipers and turn the ignition switch OFF when the wiper arms are about halfway on the down ward sweep.

2. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
a. Front wiper arms
b. Cowl top ventilator louver

3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK
a. Remove the 6 bolts of the wiper link.




b. Disconnect the connector, then loosen the 4 bolts of the motor.
c. Clip the claw of the wiper link onto the panel.
d. Disconnect the motor from the wiper link to remove the motor.




e. Remove the wiper link through the service hole.

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL WIPER MOTOR AND LINK
a. Place the link through the service hole.




b. Clip the claw of the wiper link on to the panel.
c. Connect the motor to the wiper link.
d. Tighten the 4 bolts.

Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

e. Install the 6 bolts of the link.

Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

2. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER
3. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM
a. Operate the wipers once and turn the wiper switch OFF, then install the wiper arms.




b. Adjust the installation positions of the wiper arms to the positions as shown in the illustration.

A: Approx. 36.1 mm (1.421 in.)
B: Approx. 20.6 mm (0.811 in.)


Torque: 21 N.m (205 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)
