Camshaft Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection
INSPECTION CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR a.
Disconnect the sensor connector.
b.
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.
Resistance:
Cold
835 - 1,400 ohms Hot
1,060 - 1,645 ohms If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
c.
Reconnect the
camshaft position sensor connector.
