Replacement Procedure

REMOVAL

1. Fold mirror head forward.

2. Remove original glass sub-assembly by pulling on its inboard edge.

3. Disconnect heater wiring from the terminals on the backside of the glass (if applicable).

ASSEMBLY

1. Apply the grease provided with the replacement mirror to both ends of the drive shafts and to the pivot ball before installing the new mirror to the assembly.

2. Push the new drive shafts (2) supplied onto the power actuator. There will be a click when the threads engage.

3. Thread the drive shafts on, turning them clockwise until they bottom out.

4. Align ears of drive shafts so they point directly at the pivot ball ball by turning the drive shaft counterclockwise into position.

5. Connect the heater wiring to the terminals on the backside of the new glass (if applicable).

6. Place glass assembly directly over the pivot ball and apply pressure to the center of the glass until it snaps onto the pivot ball.

7. Rotate glass downward and apply pressure to the lower portion of the glass until the drive shaft snaps into its socket.

8. Rotate glass back up to a neutral position, then apply pressure to the outboard side of the glass snapping the second drive shaft into its socket.

9. Move the mirror with the remote to confirm that full motion is available.
