INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

REPLACEMENT

1. TABLE OF BOLT, SCREW AND NUT






HINT: Indicate the bolts, screws and nuts, which are necessary for installation and removal of the instrument panel, in the illustration and the test with alphabets.

2. SEPARATE BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
3. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
4. REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY
SST 09950-50012 (09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05020, 09954-05020)

6. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER LWR
7. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER UPR
8. REMOVE HEADLAMP DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
9. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY




10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 8 clips.
b. Disconnect the connectors, then remove the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly center.

HINT: Set the shift lever into N range.




11. REMOVE RADIO BRACKET NO.1 & NO.2
a. Remove the 6 bolts and radio bracket No.1 & No.2 with the radio receiver.




12. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER
a. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 5 clips.
b. Disconnect the connectors, then remove the instrument panel finish panel lower.




13. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY
a. Using a screwdriver remover, disengage 5 clips, then remove the instrument cluster finish panel assembly.




14. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH
a. Remove the 4 screws .
b. Disengage the claws, then remove the instrument cluster finish panel garnish.




15. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 3 screws , then pull the combination meter assembly.
b. Disconnect the 2 connectors, then remove the combination meter assembly.




16. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER
a. Remove the 2 bolts .
b. Disengage the 3 clips.
c. Remove the connector.
d. Disconnect the hood lock control cable, then remove the instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly lower.




17. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PNL INSERT SUB-ASSEMBLY LWR LH
a. Remove the 2 bolts and instrument panel insert sub-assembly LWR LH.




18. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 clips.
b. Disconnect the connectors, then remove the instrument cluster finish panel assembly center.

HINT: Set the shift lever into N range.




19. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER RH
a. Remove the 2 clips and floor carpet cover center RH.

20. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER LH




21. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER CENTER
a. Remove the 3 screws .
b. Disengage the 2 clips then remove the instrument panel finish panel lower center.

22. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY




a. Remove the glove compartment door damper clip.




b. Remove the 2 clips and glove compartment door assembly.




23. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER NO.2
a. Remove the 7 screws and instrument panel finish panel lower No.2.

24. SEPARATE PASSENGER AIRBAG CONNECTOR




25. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH
a. Disengage the claw and 2 clips, then remove the front pillar garnish RH.

26. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH




27. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
a. Disengage the 8 claws, then remove the front door scuff plate RH.

28. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH




29. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
a. Remove the clip.
b. Disengage the 2 clips, then remove the cowl side trim sub-assembly RH.

30. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH




31. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 7 bolts and nut .
b. Disconnect the connectors.
c. Disengage the 3 pins, then remove the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.

32. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH NO.2
a. Disengage the 4 clips, then remove the instrument cluster finish panel garnish No.2.




33. REMOVE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the automatic light control sensor.




34. REMOVE COOLER (SOLAR SENSOR) THERMISTOR
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the cooler (solar sensor) thermistor.

NOTE: Do not pry the cooler (solar sensor) thermistor off from the upper position.

35. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PIN NO.1
a. Remove the 3 screws and 3 instrument panel pin No.1.

36. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 7 screws and defroster nozzle assembly.

37. REMOVE SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT NO.1
a. Remove the screw
and defroster nozzle duct No.1.

38. REMOVE SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT NO.2
a. Remove the screw
and the side defroster nozzle duct No.2.

39. REMOVE HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT NO.1
a. Remove the clip.
b. Remove the 3 screws
and heater to register duct No.1.

40. REMOVE HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT NO. 4
a. Remove the clip.
b. Remove the 3 screws
and heater to register duct No.4.

41. REMOVE HEATER TO REGISTER CENTER SUB DUCT
a. Remove the 4 screws
and heater to register center sub duct.

42. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1
a. Remove the 2 screws
and instrument panel register assembly lower No.1.

43. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY NO.1
a. Remove the 2 screws
and instrument panel register assembly No.1.

44. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Remove the 3 screws
and instrument panel bracket sub-assembly center.

45. REMOVE AIR BAG PASSENGER MOUNTING BRACKET NO.1
a. Remove the nut and air bag passenger mounting bracket No.1.

46. REMOVE INSTRUMENT FINISH PANEL RETAINER LOWER NO.2
a. Remove the nut and instrument finish panel retainer lower No.2.

47. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL RETAINER LOWER NO.3
a. Remove the 2 screws
and instrument panel finish panel retainer lower NO.3.

48. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE
49. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIR BAG ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 2 nuts and instrument panel passenger air bag assembly.

50. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIR BAG ASSEMBLY
51. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIR BAG ASSEMBLY
a. Install the 2 nuts with instrument panel passenger air bag assembly.

Torque:
Nut ->: 5.6 N.m (57 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)

52. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY




a. Install the bolt , nut with instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.

Torque:
Bolt : 20 N.m (205 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)

53. CENTER SPIRAL CABLE
54. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY
55. STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT
56. INSPECT HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY
57. INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY
58. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
