Rear Seat

OVERHAUL

HINT: Installation is in the reverse order of removal. But, the installation is indicated only when it has a point.




1. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the front part of deck board assembly.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the 4 clips.
c. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 seat track covers.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

d. Remove the bolt.
e. Remove the rear seat assembly RH.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the body.

2. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the 3 clips.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 seat track covers.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

c. Remove the rear seat assembly LH.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the body.

3. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY CENTER
5. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH




6. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK BOARD CARPET ASSEMBLY RH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the rear seat back board carpet assembly RH.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




7. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK BOARD CARPET ASSEMBLY LH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the rear seat back board carpet assembly LH.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




8. REMOVE RECLINING COVER PROTECTOR RH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the reclining cover protectors.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

9. REMOVE RECLINING COVER PROTECTOR LH
10. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 bolts and the separate type rear seat cushion assembly.

11. REMOVE RECLINING COVER PROTECTOR RH
12. REMOVE RECLINING COVER PROTECTOR LH
13. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 bolts and the separate type rear seat cushion assembly LH.

14. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER
a. Disengage the seat cushion cover hook.
b. Remove the hog rings and separate type rear seat cushion frame RH.
c. Remove the hog rings and separate type rear seat cushion cover RH.
d. Remove the seat wires from the separate type rear seat cushion cover RH.

15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER
a. Disengage the seat cushion cover hook.
b. Remove the hog rings and separate type rear seat cushion frame LH.
c. Remove the hog rings and separate type rear seat cushion cover LH.
d. Remove the seat wires from the separate type rear seat cushion cover LH.




16. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the cover.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the 2 screws.
c. Disconnect the seat lock control cable, remove the rear seat lock control lever RH.

17. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the cover.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the 2 screws.
c. Disconnect the seat lock control cable, remove the rear seat lock control lever LH.




18. REMOVE REAR SEAT RECLINING COVER NO.1 RH
a. Using a clip remover, remove the reclining cover protectors.

19. REMOVE REAR SEAT RECLINING COVER NO.2 RH
20. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY

a. Remove the 4 bolts.
b. Disconnect the seat lock control cable from the adjuster, and remove the separate type rear seat cushion assembly RH.

21. REMOVE REAR SEAT RECLINING COVER NO.1 LH
22. REMOVE REAR SEAT RECLINING COVER LH
23. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 bolts.
b. Disconnect the seat lock control cable from the adjuster, and remove the separate type rear seat cushion assembly LH.

24. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT COVER
25. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT BACK COVER
a. Remove the seat back hooks and 4 clips.
b. Remove the 4 headrest supports.
c. Remove the seat back cover with pad from the seat back frame.
d. Remove the hog rings and seat back RH cover from the seat back pad RH.

26. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT BACK COVER
a. Remove the seat back hooks and 4 clips.
b. Remove the 4 headrest supports.
c. Remove the seat back cover with pad from the seat back frame.
d. Remove the hog rings and seat back cover LH from the seat back pad LH.

27. REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the screw.
b. Remove the reclining remote control cable assembly RH.

28. REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the screw.
b. Remove the reclining remote control cable assembly LH.

29. REMOVE REAR SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY INNER
a. Remove the bolt.
b. Remove the rear seat belt assembly inner RH.

30. REMOVE REAR SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY INNER
a. Remove the bolt.
b. Remove the rear seat belt assembly inner LH.

31. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION MOULDING RH
a. Remove the screw and rear seat cushion moulding RH.

32. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION MOULDING LH
a. Remove the screw and rear seat cushion moulding LH.

33. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION MOULDING REAR RH
a. Remove the screw and rear seat cushion moulding rear RH.

34. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION MOULDING REAR LH
a. Remove the screw and rear seat cushion moulding rear LH.

35. REMOVE RECLINING CONNECTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY
36. REMOVE RECLINING CONNECTING PIPE RH
37. REMOVE RECLINING CONNECTING PIPE LH
38. INSTALL RECLINING CONNECTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Adjust the reclining lock positions of the seat adjusters.
b. Place the adjusters on a spacers to adjust the seat rails in parallel.
c. Combine the lower seat back frame and reclining connecting pipe
d. Install the lower seat back frame and reclining connecting pipe.
e. Install the reclining connecting rod with the 4 bolts.

Torque: 18.0 N.m 184 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)

39. INSTALL REAR SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY INNER
a. Install the rear seat belt assembly inner RH with the bolt.

Torque: 42.0 N.m 420 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

40. INSTALL REAR SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY INNER
a. Install the rear seat belt assembly inner LH with the bolt.

Torque: 42.0 N.m 420 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

41. INSTALL REAR SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY OUTER CENTER
a. Install the rear seat belt assembly outer center to the rear seat back RH with the nut.

Torque: 42.0 N.m 420 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)




42. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT BACK COVER
a. Install the seat wires to the rear seat back cover.
b. Install the separate type rear seat back cover RH with pad to the seat back spring with the new hog rings.
c. Install the separate type rear seat back cover RH part of patch back facing with the 4 clips.

HINT: When installing hog rings, take care to prevent wrinkles as little as possible.

43. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT BACK COVER
a. Install the seat wires to the rear seat back cover.
b. Install the separate type rear seat back cover LH with pad to the seat back spring with new hog rings.
c. Install the separate type rear seat back cover ~ part of patch back facing with the 4 clips.

HINT: When installing hog rings, take care to prevent wrinkles as little as possible.

44. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY
a. Mount the rear seat back assembly RH on the seat adjuster assembly.
b. Connect the reclining remote control cable and rear seat adjuster.
c. Install the 4 bolts.

Torque: 55.0 N.m 561 kgf.cm, 41 ft.lbf)

d. Install the separate type rear seat back cover RH part of under hook.

45. CHECK SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER LOCKS
a. When reclining the seat, inspect that the outer and inner recliners are released at the same time.

HINT: When the reclining lock position slips off, disassemble the seat to adjust the position.

46. INSTALL REAR SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY OUTER CENTER
a. Install the rear seat belt assembly outer center to the rear seat back RH part of anchor with the bolt.

Torque: 42.0 N.m (420 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

47. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY
a. Mount the rear seat back assembly LH on the seat adjuster assembly.
b. Connect the reclining remote control cable and rear seat adjuster.
c. Install the 4 bolts.

Torque: 55.0 N.m (561 kgf.cm, 41 ft.lbf)

d. Install the separate type rear seat back cover LH part of the under hook.




48. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER
a. Install the seat wires to the rear seat cushion cover.
b. Install the separate type rear seat cushion cover RH with pad to the seat cushion spring with the hog rings.

HINT: When installing hog rings, take care to prevent wrinkles as little as possible.

49. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER
a. Install the seat wires to the rear seat cushion cover.
b. Install the separate type rear seat cushion cover LH with pad to the seat cushion spring with new hog rings.

HINT: When installing hog rings, take care to prevent wrinkles as little as possible.

50. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
a. Mount the separate type rear seat cushion assembly RH on the seat adjuster assembly.
b. Install the 4 bolts.

Torque:
Upper bolts: 37.0 N.m (378 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)
Lower bolts: 18.0 N.m (183 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)

51. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
a. Mount the separate type rear seat cushion assembly LH on the seat adjuster assembly.
b. Install the 4 bolts.

Torque:
Upper bolts: 37.0 N.m (378 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)
Lower bolts: 18.0 N.m (183 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)

52. INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Mount the rear seat assembly RH to the vehicle.
b. Tighten the 4 bolts.

Torque: 36.7 N.m (375 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)

53. INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Mount the rear seat assembly LH to the vehicle
b. Tighten the 4 bolts.

Torque: 36.7 N.m (375 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)
