Control Module HVAC: Testing and Inspection

AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. REMOVE HEATER CONTROL PANEL
2. INSPECT AMPLIFIER CIRCUIT




a. Disconnect the amplifier connector.
b. Remove the screw and amplifier from the instrument panel.







c. Inspect the connector on wire harness side as shown in the table.

Test conditions:
- Ignition switch ON
- Temperature damper control dial at "MAX. COOL" position
- Blower speed control switch at "HI" position

If circuit value is not as specified, replace the amplifier. If the circuit value is as specified, inspect the circuits connected to other parts.







d. Connect the connector to A/C amplifier and inspect wire harness side connector from the back side, as shown in the table.

Test conditions:
- Running engine at idle speed
- A/C switch ON
- Temperature damper control dial at "MAX. COOL" position
- Blower speed control switch at "HI" position
- Set on manifold gauge set

If the circuit value is not as specified, replace the amplifier. If the circuit value is as specified, inspect the circuits connected to other parts.
