Parking Brake Pedal: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. REMOVE LOWER FINISH PANEL AND NO. 1 SAFETY PAD INSERT





2. DISCONNECT PARKING BRAKE SWITCH CONNECTOR
3. RELEASE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL
4. DISCONNECT PARKING BRAKE WIRE
Remove clip and disconnect the parking brake wire.





5. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY
Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and parking brake pedal assembly.
Torque: 39 Nm (400 kgf-cm, 29 ft. lbs.)
6. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SWITCH
Remove the screw and parking brake switch.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

HINT: After installation, adjust parking brake pedal travel.
