SERVICE HINT (CIGARETTE LIGHTER)

Should you receive a customer complaint for cigarette lighter / socket malfunction, please review the following information.

1. IS THE APPROPRIATE SIZE ACCESSORY PLUG USED ?





- Accessory plug diameter should be less than 20.5mm otherwise deformation of the cigarette lighter socket bi-metal plate could occur.





Deformation of bi-metal plate will result in insufficient clamping force of the cigarette lighter plug and possible lighter malfunction.

2. IS A GENUINE TOYOTA CIGARETTE LIGHTER USED ?
- If a non-genuine lighter is used, the plug portion fit to the socket may cause a short circuit and ultimately an open fuse condition.





- Genuine and non-genuine lighters may be identified dimensionally according to the illustrations.
