AIRBAG DEACTIVATION SYSTEM CHECK DURING PDS
The 1998 M / Y Tacoma is equipped with a passenger side airbag deactivation switch. This switch is designed to disable the passenger side airbag. Please check the passenger side airbag deactivation switch during PDS, as follows:
PRE-DELIVERY SERVICE CHECK:
1. Insert ignition key into passenger side airbag deactivation switch.
2. Check the system for proper operation by cycling the switch from the 'ON' to the 'OFF' position.
3. Check that the indicator light illuminates when the passenger side airbag switch is turned to the 'OFF' position.
4. Activate the passenger side airbag system by turning the switch to the 'ON' position.
CAUTION:
Make sure the passenger side airbag deactivation switch is turned 'ON' when the PDS is completed.
The indicator light should not be illuminated.
