REPLACEMENT




1. TABLE OF BOLT, SCREW AND NUT

HINT: The bolts, screws and nuts, which are necessary for installation and removal of the instrument panel are shown in the illustration below and the text with alphabets.

2. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
3. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO.2
4. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO.3
5. REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSY
6. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSY

SST 09950-50013 (09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05020, 09954-05021)

7. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER LWR
8. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER UPR
9. REMOVE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSY W/SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSY




10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PLATE
a. Remove the instrument panel finish plate.




11. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSY LOWER
a. Remove the 2 bolts .
b. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assy and fuel lid lock control cable sub-assy.
c. Disengage the 4 clips.
d. Disconnect the connectors and remove the instrument panel finish panel sub-assy lower.




12. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER LH
a. Remove the 2 bolts .
b. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the instrument panel lower LH.




13. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSY
a. Disengage the 7 clips.
b. Disconnect the connectors and remove the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assy.




14. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSY
a. Remove the 3 screws .
b. Loosen the 2 bolts and remove the combination meter assy.




15. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSY
a. Disengage the 5 clips and remove the console upper rear panel, and then disconnect the connectors.




16. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSY UPPER
a. Disengage the 6 clips and 2 claws, and then remove the console panel subassy upper.




17. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH NO.1
a. Disengage the clip.
b. Pull the console upper panel garnish No.1 rearward to be removed.

18. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH NO.2




19. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSY REAR
a. Remove the 6 bolts and console box assy rear.

20. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSY



a. Remove the screw.




b. Disengage the 4 clips and remove the air conditioner, and then disconnect the connectors.




21. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSY CENTER
a. Remove the 3 bolts .
b. Disengage the 8 clips and remove the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assy center.

22. REMOVE RADIO TUNER OPENING COVER W/BRACKET
23. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE




24. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH
a. Remove the clip.
b. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the cowl side trim board RH.




25. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSY NO.2
a. Remove the screw .
b. Disengage the 3 clips and remove the instrument panel under cover sub-assy No.2.




26. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR SUB-ASSY
a. Remove the screw and glove compartment door.
b. Deform the upper part of the glove compartment door to release the stoppers.
c. Pull the glove compartment door upward to remove it.




27. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER NO.2
a. Remove the 4 screws and instrument panel finish panel lower No.2.




28. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSY NO.2
a. Remove the screw .
b. Disengage the 2 clips and 2 claws, and then remove the instrument panel register assy No.2.

29. REMOVE DISC PLAYER CONTROLLER W/BRACKET (W/ DISC PLAYER CHANGER)

30. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSY
31. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
32. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH




33. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSY
a. Remove the 8 bolts and nut .
b. Disconnect the connectors.
c. Remove the instrument panel safety pad subassy.

34. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSY NO.1
a. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 clips and remove the instrument panel speaker panel sub assy No.1.

35. REMOVE STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER ASSY REAR
a. Remove the 2 screws and the stereo component speaker assy rear.

36. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PIN NO.1
a. Remove the screw and the instrument panel pin No.1 -

37. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSY
a. Remove the 5 screws and the defroster nozzle assy.

38. REMOVE HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT NO.2
a. Remove the 2 screws and the heater to register duct No.2.

39. REMOVE METER
HOOD RETAINER NO.1
a. Remove the screw and the meter hood retainer No.1.

40. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET SUB-ASSY CENTER
a. Remove the screw and the instrument panel bracket sub-assy center.

41. REMOVE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR (W/ LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM)
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the automatic light control sensor.

42. REMOVE COOLER (SOLAR SENSOR) THERMISTOR
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the cooler (solar sensor) thermistor.

43. REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSY

44. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSY (W/ NAVIGATION SYSTEM)
45. REMOVE INSTR PNL PASS L/DOOR AIR BAG ASSY
46. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSY
47. INSTALL INSTR PNL PASS L/DOOR AIR BAG ASSY




48. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSY
a. Using a torque wrench, install the bolt.

Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)

49. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSY




a. Pull the positions shown in the illustration in the arrow mark direction to make the check pins unseen form the surface.




b. Check that the connector on the insutrument panel side is in place.
c. Install the combination meter assy with the 3 screws.
d. Tighten the screw shown in the illustration and check that the check pin protrudes.

51. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSY
52. INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSY
53. INSPECT HORN BUTTON ASSY
54. INCLINATION SENSOR 0 ° CORRECTION
55. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
