To reduce the damage sustained during a low-speed collision, an energy absorber has been added to each corner of the front reinforcement, and a steel pipe has been added to the rear reinforcement.

Seat Belt

^ The front driver and front right passenger seats are provided with electrical sensing type seat belt pretensioners and seat belt force limiters. The basic construction and operation are the same as in the '99 Land Cruiser.

^ The driver seat is provided with a 3-point ELR (Emergency Locking Retractor) seat belt.

^ The front right passenger seat is provided with a 3-point ELR and ALR (Automatic Locking Retractor) seat belt.

^ The front center passenger seat is provided with a 2-point NR (Non-Retractor) seat belt (Split-Bench Seat Model).

^ The rear seats are provided with 3-point ELR and ALR seat belts respectively.

^ A tether anchor bracket for the CRS (Child Restraint System) has been provided for the each rear seat upper.
