WIPER MOTOR CIRCUIT BREAKER-INSPECTION PROCEDURE
To eliminate the possibility of wiper motor damage, wiper motors are equipped with circuit breaker protection. The circuit breaker is a thermal limiting type and will reset automatically after the wiper motor current load returns to normal.
LOCATION OF CIRCUIT BREAKER:
Example: 1995 Camry.
If the wiper motor is inoperative, the following checks should be included in your diagnosis to confirm circuit breaker operation:
- Disconnect the wiper motor connector
- Wait 5 minutes before checking continuity
- Check continuity of wiper motor with an ohmmeter as shown
EXAMPLE: 1995 CAMRY (REFER TO SPECIFIC MODEL EWD FOR TERMINAL ID'S)
