With Manufacturer's Scan Tool
a. Release the parking brake lever.
b. Check the indicator.
When the ignition switch is turned ON, check that the ABS warning light and BRAKE warning light goes on for approximately 3 seconds.
HINT:
- When the parking brake is applied or the level of the brake fluid is low, the BRAKE warning light lights up.
- If the indicator check result is not normal, proceed to the troubleshooting for the ABS warning light circuit or BRAKE warning light circuit.
- Check the ABS1 fuse, ABS2 fuse and ABS actuator assembly.
c. In case of using TOYOTA hand-held tester:
Check the DTC.
1. Connect the TOYOTA hand-held tester to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Read the DTC by following the prompts on the tester screen.
