INTRODUCTION:
Some customers may experience difficulty removing the ignition key from the ignition cylinder, even if the shift lever is in the park position.

The shift lock control assembly has been updated to make operation smoother.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES:






- 2001 - 2005 model year RAV4 vehicles produced WITHIN the VIN range shown.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Confirm that the ignition key cannot be pulled out with the shifter in the park position.
2. Identify the correct part according to the VIN break.
3. For repair procedure refer to ETAS: applicable model year RAV4 Repair Manual: Automatic Transmission: Floor Shift Assembly.
