REMOVAL





1. DISCONNECT CONTROL CABLES FROM TRANSAXLE
a. Remove the 2 clips and 2 washers.
b. Remove the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 control cables.





2. REMOVE SHIFT AND SELECT CONTROL CABLES
a. Remove the front console box.
b. Remove the No. 1 and No. 2 instrument panel under cover.
c. Remove the 6 bolts and the shift lever and control cables assembly.
Torque: 12 Nm (120 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.) for bolt A
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.) for bolt B
d. Remove the shift and select control cables from the shift lever assembly.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

NOTICE: When installing the 2 control cables, you must observe the following items.
^ When handling the cable, do not bend the cable less than R130°.
^ Pay thorough attention not to damage the boots.
^ When installing, do not apply force but install it gently.
^ After finishing the installation, check the cable for twist. If there is any irregularity, adjust it.
^ Never reuse the board-type clip to fix the control cable.
