Introduction

Some 2003 - 2004 model year Tacoma (V6) vehicles may experience an intermittent extended or "hard" engine cranking at startup. A revised engine wire harness and ground point relocation is required to correct this condition.

Applicable Vehicles

^ 2003 - 2004 model year Tacoma vehicles equipped with 5VZ-FE ("6) engines.

Applicable Warranty*:

This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
