Some customers with 2003 or 2004 Tundra vehicles may complain of a M.I.L. "ON" condition, Diagnostic Trouble Code P0705 in the system, and intermittent faint glowing of multiple gear selector ranges at the same time (while the transmission selector still shows correct position). An updated Combination Meter Ground Screw has been made available to address these issues.
APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2003 - 2004 model year Tundra vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove the combination meter.
A. Remove the cluster finish panel.
a. Remove the two screws and the cluster finish panel.
B. Remove the combination meter.
a. Remove the four screws.
b. Remove the combination meter and disconnect the four connectors.
2. Turn the combination meter around.
3. Remove and replace the Combination Meter Ground Screw shown.
4. Reassemble in reverse order of disassembly.
5. Clear DTC P0705 from system.
6. Confirm that DTC P0705 does not return, and confirm proper combination meter operation.
