CYLINDER HEAD BOLTS
REMOVAL
Using a 10 mm bi-hexagon wrench, uniformly loosen and remove the 10 cylinder head bolts in several passes, in the sequence shown







INSTALLATION

HINT: The cylinder head bolts are tightened in 2 steps (steps 2) and (4)
If any cylinder head bolt is broken or deformed, replace it.

Apply a light coat of engine oil on the threads and under the heads of the cylinder head bolts.
Using a 10 mm bi-hexagon wrench, install and uniformly tighten the 10 cylinder head bolts and plate washers in several passes, in the sequence shown.

Torque 79 Nm (806 kgf-cm, 58 ft. lbs.)


ECT Sensor x Cylinder Head 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)

Oil Pressure Switch x Cylinder Head 13 N.m (133 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)

Cylinder Head x Cyliner Block

2 nd turn 90°

Bearing Cap Bolts
Install and uniformly tighten the 20 bearing cap bolts in several passes, in the sequence shown.

Torque:
No. 1 and No. 2 29.5 Nm (301 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.)
No. 3 - 20 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 inch lbs.)



INTAKE MANIFOLD


CYLINDER HEAD:






Install the intake manifold and throttle body assembly with the 5 bolts and 2 nuts. Uniformly tighten the bolts and nuts in several passes.

Torque 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.)
