Ignition Timing
IGNITION TIMING Using SST, connect terminals to TC and CG of the DLC3.
SST 09843-18040
HINT: After engine rpm is kept at
900 - 1,500 rpm for 5 seconds, check that it returns to
idle speed.
Using a timing light, check the
ignition timing.
Ignition timing:
8 to 12° BTDC @ idle Remove the SST from the DLC3.
Ignition timing:
5 to 15° BTDC @ idleHINT: The timing mark moves in a range between
5 and 15°.
