Some 2004 Sienna vehicles may exhibit a M.I.L. "ON" condition with DTC P0010 (Camshaft Position "A" Actuator Circuit Bank 1) or DTC P0020 (Camshaft Position "A" Actuator Circuit Bank 2) stored as a result of Engine Control Module or ECM (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM) manufacturing issues. Replacement of ECM will correct this condition.

Repair Procedure:
1. Follow repair manual diagnostics for applicable DTC (P0010 or P0020). Refer to ETAS for 2004 model year Sienna Repair Manual:
Section: Diagnostics:
Subsection: SFI system; P0010 or P0020


2. If circuit tests OK per repair manual -- replace ECM.
