Main Bearing Cap Torque and Sequence





Using several steps, loosen and remove the 8 main bearing cap bolts and seal washers uniformly in the sequence as shown in the illustration.





Using several steps, loosen and remove the 16 main bearing cap bolts uniformly in the sequence as shown in the illustration.

Connecting Rod Bolt Torque and Sequence





Using SST, tighten the bolts alternately with the specified torque.
Torque 25 Nm (250 kgf-cm, 18 ft. lbs.)





Mark the front side of each connecting cap bolt with paint.
Retighten the cap bolts 90° as shown in the illustration.

Torque 250 Nm (2,549 kgf-cm, 184 ft. lbs.)
