Introduction
Some customers may experience a humming noise from some Corolla rear axles at highway speeds. The noise can be isolated to one or both of the rear hub bearings. A replacement hub bearing is now available to improve this condition.

^ 2003 - 2005 model year Corolla vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

Repair Procedure
1. Verify customer concern.
2. If present, remove and replace both rear hub bearings following the procedures outlined in the Technical Information System (TIS), 2003 - 2005 model year Corolla Repair Manual: Drive Shaft/Propeller Shaft: Rear Axle Hub & Bearing Assy.
Warranty Information
Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Powertrain Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
