Rear No.2 Seat Belt

REAR NO.2 SEAT BELT

REPLACEMENT

HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed for the RH side.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. REMOVE REAR SEAT LAP TYPE BELT RH
a. Remove the rear No. 2 seat.

b. Remove the rear seat lap type belt assembly RH.
1. Remove the bolt and belt.




c. Install the rear seat lap type belt assembly RH.
1. Remove the bolt and belt.

Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

2. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the rear No. 2 seat.

b. Remove the rear seat inner belt assembly.
1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 belts.

c. Install the rear seat inner belt assembly.
1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 belts.

Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part of the rear belt and the protruding parts of the floor panel to overlap.

3. REMOVE REAR NO.2 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
a. Remove the tonneau cover.
b. Remove the deck board cover.
c. Remove the deck board cover No. 2.
d. Remove the deck board cover No. 3.
e. Remove the rear seat reclining cover LH.
f. Remove the rear seat reclining cover RH.
g. Remove the deck floor box RR.
h. Remove the rear floor finish plate.
i. Remove the deck side trim box LH.
j. Remove the deck side trim box RH.
k. Remove the rear No. 1 seat LH.
l. Remove the rear No. 1 seat RH.
m. Remove the rear No. 2 seat RH .
n. Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip RH.
o. Remove the back door weatherstrip.
p. Remove the rope hook.
q. Remove the rear door scuff plate RH.
r. Remove the deck trim side panel RH.
s. Remove the quarter pillar garnish RH.




t. Remove the rear No. 2 seat belt assembly outer RH.
1. Using a screwdriver, open the seat belt anchor cover

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. Remove the bolt and shoulder anchor.
3. Remove the 2 bolts and belt.




u. Install the rear No. 2 seat belt assembly outer RH.
1. Check the amount of inclination required to lock the retractor.
- When the inclination of the retractor is 15 degree or less, check that the belt can be pulled from the retractor. When the inclination of the retractor is over 45 degree, check that the belt locks.

NOTE: Do not disassemble the retractor.

If operation is not as specified, replace the outer belt assembly.

2. Install the belt with the 2 bolts.

Torque:
7.5 N.m (77 kgf.cm, 66 in.lbf) for upper bolt
42 N m (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf) for lower bolt


3. Install the shoulder anchor with the bolt.

Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
