INSPECTION

1. INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR MAIN SWITCH

a. Inspect the resistance of the switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

b. Apply battery voltage and check the illuminates.
If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb.

HINT: Whether the switch illuminates or not will not affect the function of the LH side.

2. INSPECT SATELLITE SWITCH

a. Check the resistance of the switch for the LH/RH door.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

b. Apply battery voltage and check the whether the switch illuminates.

HINT: Whether the switch illuminates or not will not affect the function of the RH side.

If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb.

3. INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH

a. Inspect the resistance of the switch for LH/RH.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

b. Apply battery voltage and check the illuminates.
If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb.

HINT: Whether the switch illuminates or not will not affect the function of the LH side.

4. INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR TOUCH SENSOR LH

a. Check the resistance of the sensor.
If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor.

5. INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR TOUCH SENSOR RH

a. Check the resistance of the sensor.
If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor.

6. INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR CONTROL MOTOR AND CLUTCH LH
a. Remove the motor and clutch.
b. Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 3 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 2.

c. Apply battery voltage to the terminals and check the motor operation.
If the result is not as specified, replace the motor and clutch.

d. Check the resistance of the terminals.
If the result is not as specified, replace the motor and clutch.

e. Reinstall the motor and clutch with the connector connected.
f. Check the pulse of the pulse sensor.

1. Using an oscilloscope, check the pulse generated when the door is manually opened and closed.
If the result is not as specified, replace the motor and clutch.

HINT: The cycle of the pulse changes between approx. 10 to 20 msec. according to the speeds that the slide door is moving.

7. INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR CONTROL MOTOR AND CLUTCH RH
a. Remove the motor and clutch.
b. Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 3 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 2.

c. Apply battery voltage to the terminals and check the motor operation.
If the result is not as specified, replace the motor and clutch.

d. Check the resistance of terminals.
If the result is not as specified, replace the motor and clutch.

e. Reinstall the motor and clutch with the connector connected.
f. Check the pulse of the pulse sensor.

1. Using an oscilloscope, check the pulse generated when the door is manually opened and closed.
