Introduction

Some 2004 - 2005 model year Sienna vehicles may exhibit a condition where the front seat side table will not lock into the stowed position because the front seat side table clip has broken. The front seat side table clip has been improved to correct this condition and is now available as a separate service part.

Applicable Warranty:

This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.





Components

Repair Procedure

1. Remove the front seat side table leg cover. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claws and remove the seat side table leg cover.

NOTE:
To reduce the possibility of damage to the seat, tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. Remove the front seat side table.

A. Remove the 4 nuts and the seat side table.

B. Remove the 2 clips and the seat side table bracket cover.

3. Remove the front seat side table clip by removing the 1 screw.

4. Install the NEW front seat side table clip and 1 screw.

5. Install the front seat side table.

A. Install the seat side table bracket cover and 2 clips.

B. Install the seat side table and the 4 nuts.

Torque: 13 Nm (133 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)

6. Install the front seat side table leg cover.
