SRS Warning Light Circuit Malfunction (Always Light Up, When Ignition Switch Is Lock Position.)

SRS WARNING LIGHT CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION (ALWAYS LIGHT UP, WHEN IGNITION SWITCH IS LOCK POSITION.)

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

The SRS warning light is located on the combination meter assy.

When the SRS is normal, the SRS warning light comes on for approx. 6 seconds after the ignition switch is turned from the LOCK position to ON position, and then it turns off automatically.

If there is a malfunction in the SRS, the SRS warning light comes on to inform the driver.

When terminals TC and CG of the DLC3 are connected, the DTCs are displayed by blinking the SRS warning light.

The signal to illuminate the SRS warning light is transmitted from the air bag sensor assy center to the combination meter assy through the multiplex communication system.
