INTRODUCTION:
To improve rear wiper performance, the rear wiper arm has been modified.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2004 - 2005 model year Sienna vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

Replace the rear wiper arm assembly.

NOTE:
Refer to ETAS: 2004 - 2005 model year Sienna Repair Manual: Wiper & Washer: Rear Wiper Motor And Bracket Assy: Replacement.

1. Remove the rear wiper arm.
A. Remove the rear wiper arm head cap from the rear wiper arm.
B. Remove the nut and the rear wiper arm.

2. Install the rear wiper arm.






A. Clean the rear wiper pivot serration with a brush.
B. Stop the rear wiper motor assembly to the automatic stop position. Install the rear wiper arm to the position as shown in the illustration.

Torque: 5.5 N-m (56 kgf-cm, 49 lbf-in.)






C. Install the rear wiper arm head cap.
