DTC 1615 FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR (LH) MALFUNCTIONCIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
DTC Detecting Conditions:
The front airbag sensor RH consists of parts such as the diagnostic circuit and the frontal detection sensor.
The configuration of the front airbag sensor LH is the same as that of the RH.
When the airbag sensor assembly center receives signals from the frontal deceleration sensor, it determines whether or not the SRS should be activated.
DTC B1615/14 is set when a malfunction is detected in the front airbag sensor LH circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
CAUTION: In order to prevent unexpected airbag deployment, disconnect the following connectors before inspecting parts such as wire harnesses, if the application of tester probes to the airbag sensor assembly center connector is necessary.
a. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
b. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
c. Disconnect the connectors from the airbag sensor assembly center.
d. Disconnect the connectors from the horn button assembly.
e. Disconnect the connector from the front passenger airbag assembly.
HINT: Skip steps (f) to (i) if side and curtain shield airbags are not fitted.
f. Disconnect the connector from the front seat airbag assembly LH.
g. Disconnect the connector from the front seat airbag assembly RH.
h. Disconnect the connector from the curtain shield airbag assembly LH.
i. Disconnect the connector from the curtain shield airbag assembly RH.
j. Disconnect the connector from the front seat outer belt assembly LH.
k. Disconnect the connector from the front seat outer belt assembly RH.
