Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
2. REMOVE GENERATOR
3. SEPARATE COOLER COMPRESSOR




a. Remove the bolt and separate the suction hose sub-assy.
b. Disconnect the cooler compressor assy connector.
c. Remove the 4 bolts, and separate the cooler compressor from the V-ribbed belt tensioner.

4. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR




a. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector.
b. Remove the bolt and crankshaft position sensor.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR




a. Apply a light coat of engine oil to an O-ring of the crankshaft position sensor.
b. Install the crankshaft position sensor with the bolt.

Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf)

c. Connect the crankshaft position sensor connector.

2. INSTALL COOLER COMPRESSOR
a. Install the cooler compressor assy with the 4 bolts.

Torque: 25 Nm (255 kgf.cm, 18 ft.lbf)

b. Connect the cooler compressor assy connector.




c. Install the suction hose sub-assy with the bolt.

Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf cm, 71 in. lbf)
