Title:
AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK FUNCTIONS

Models:
'06 Avalon

Introduction

2006 model year Avalon vehicles equipped with automatic transmission and power door locks feature Automatic Door Locking (ADL) and Automatic Door Unlocking (ADU) functions. The door locks can be set to lock and unlock linked with the shift position. Details on the automatic door lock and unlock functions can be found in the Owner's Manual.

To standardize the ADL and ADU functions across all model lines, the ADL default settings from the factory should be confirmed and the ADU set during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS). The factory default setting automatically locks all doors when the shift lever is moved out of the "P" position.
