Rear Wiper Motor
REMOVAL1. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM COVER
a. Remove the rear wiper arm cover.
2. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the nut and the rear wiper arm and blade assembly.
3. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET
a. Remove the rear wiper motor grommet.
4. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 3 bolts and rear wiper motor.
NOTE: All bolts cannot be removed because it is integrated into the rear wiper motor.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR
a. Install the rear wiper motor with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)
b. Connect the connector.
2. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
3. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET
a. Install the rear wiper motor grommet with the position mark facing upward as shown in the illustration.
4. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY
a. Operate the rear wiper, and stop the rear wiper motor at the automatic stop position.
b. Clean the wiper arm serrations.
c. Clean the wiper pivot serrations with a wire brush (when reinstalling).
d. Install the rear wiper arm and blade assembly with the nut at the position as shown in the illustration.
Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)
HINT: Hold the arm hinge by hand to fasten the nut.
5. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM COVER
a. Install the rear wiper arm cover.
b. Operate the rear wiper while spraying water or washer fluid on the windshield.
c. Make sure that the wiper function properly and there is no interference with the vehicle body.
