Keyless Entry Transmitter Battery: Service and Repair

TRANSMITTER BATTERY

REMOVAL




1. REMOVE TRANSMITTER HOUSING COVER

NOTE: Take extra care when handling these precision electronic components.

a. Twist the screwdriver in the direction of the arrow mark in the illustration, and open the transmitter housing cover.

NOTE: Do not forcibly pry the cover.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




2. REMOVE DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER MODULE




3. REMOVE TRANSMITTER BATTERY
a. Twist the coin in the direction of the arrow mark in illustration, and remove the transmitter battery's cover.




b. Remove the battery (lithium battery: CR2016).

NOTE:
- Do not push the terminals with your finger.
- Do not forcibly pry up the battery. The terminals may become damaged.
- Do not touch the battery with wet hands. Water may cause rust.
- Do not touch or move any components inside the transmitter. It may cease to work.

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL TRANSMITTER BATTERY

NOTE: Take extra care when handling these precision electronic components.




a. Install a battery (lithium battery: CR2016) with the positive (+) side facing upward, as shown in the illustration.

NOTE:
- Be careful not to bend the transmitter battery electrode during insertion.
- Keep the transmitter cover interior free of dust and oil.




b. Install the cover.




2. INSTALL DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER MODULE




3. INSTALL TRANSMITTER HOUSING COVER
a. Install the transmitter housing cover to the transmitter housing case.
b. Check that the transmitter's LED illuminates 3 times when the switch is pressed 3 times.

OK: Transmitter's LED illuminates 3 times when switch is pressed 3 times.
