INITIALIZATION

HINT: The seatback position is initialized at the factory before shipment, so initialization is not normally required. There is an initialization function for cases when reinitialization is required.

1. INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE

HINT: Before starting the following procedure, make sure that the seatback position is not stored in the fold seat control ECU or reclining motor.

- If initialization has been completed, reinitialization cannot be performed. If reinitialization is required, release the initialization before starting reinitialization.
- If initialization has not been completed, the 3rd SEAT indicator in the meter will come on regardless of the positions of the seatback and the seat leg.
- If initialization has been released or performed, turn the ignition switch to the ON position and check the condition of the 3rd SEAT indicator in the meter.

a. Press and hold the power rear no. 2 seat switch until the seat is completely folded down.
b. Continue pressing the power rear no. 2 seat switch for another 1 second with the seat folded down. Initialization is complete and the buzzer sounds.

2. INITIALIZATION RELEASE PROCEDURE

HINT: Before starting the following procedure, make sure that the seatback position is stored in the fold seat control ECU and reclining motor (the seatback position is initialized).

a. Push the stowing/return switch (RETURN) to the left and hold it.
b. Within 10 seconds of pressing and holding the stowing/return switch (RETURN), press the folding switch 5 times with the stowing/return switch (RETURN) held down.

HINT: Pressing the folding switch more than 5 times with the return switch held down disables the initialization release operation.

c. If the folding switch is pressed 5 times within 10 seconds of pressing and holding the stowing/return switch (RETURN), the initialization release operation is complete.
