1. TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM PRECAUTION
a. When the tire pressure warning light comes on, immediately check the air pressure of the tire and adjust it to the specified pressure. When the ignition switch is turned OFF, the tire pressure warning light goes off.
b. This system needs initializing after changing tires or wheels and rotating the tires.
c. In the following cases, the system does not operate normally.
- When vehicle speed is 30 km/h (19 mph) or less.
- When tires size is different from that which is specified.
- When tires of different sizes or types are used simultaneously.
- When the spare tire or snow tires are used, or when chains are used.
- When the vehicle is driven on unpaved, extremely rough or slippery roads.
- When one of the tires on the vehicle is extremely worn or new.
d. When the run-flat tires are used, replace the tire if the pressure is 100 kPa (1 kg-cm, 14 psi) or less. (if the tire is reused, it could damaged.)
2. FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION
a. When a system malfunction occurs in the tire pressure warning system, the tire pressure warning light blinks.
NOTICE: If the malfunction returns to normal, the tire pressure warning light does not blink.
b. The result of this diagnosis is stored in the skid control ECU.
