Crankshaft Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION

INSPECT CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR

Check the resistance.

Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

HINT: Cold and Hot mean the temperature of the coils themselves. Cold is from -10 to 50 degree C (14 to 122 degree F) and Hot is from 50 to 100 degree C (122 to 212 degree F).

If the result is not as specified, replace the camshaft position sensor.
