Ball Joint Wear Limit





FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER NO. 1 LH
As shown in the illustration, flip the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times, before installing the nut.
Using a torque wrench, turn the nut continuously at a rate of 2 to 4 seconds per 1 turn and take the torque reading on the 5th turn.
Torque:
Turning torque 3.0 Nm (31 kgf/cm, 27 in. lbs.) or less
Check for any cracks and grease leaks on the ball joint dust cover.
