Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY
7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY
8. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET
9. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR




a. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
b. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
a. Install a new gasket to the engine coolant temperature sensor.




b. Install the engine coolant temperature sensor.

Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)

c. Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

2. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET
3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY
6. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
7. ADD ENGINE COOLANT
8. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS
9. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
10. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
