System Specifications
LEFT CYLINDER HEADUniformly install and tighten the 8 cylinder head bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration (procedure "A").
Torque 54 Nm (550 kgf-cm, 40 ft. lbs.)
Mark the front side of each cylinder head bolt head with paint, as shown in the illustration.
Retighten the cylinder head bolts by 90° in the same sequence as above.
Check that each painted mark is now at a 90° angle to the front.
Using a socket hexagon wrench 8, install the hexagon bolt.
Torque 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.)
RIGHT CYLINDER HEAD
Uniformly install and tighten the 8 cylinder head bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration (procedure "A").
Torque 54 Nm (550 kgf-cm, 40 ft. lbs.)
Mark the front side of each cylinder head bolt head with paint, as shown in the illustration.
Retighten the cylinder head bolts by 90° in the same sequence as above.
Check that each painted mark is now at a 90° angle to the front.
Using a socket hexagon wrench 8, install the hexagon bolt.
Torque 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.)
INTAKE MANIFOLD
Install the intake manifold with the 9 bolts, 2 nuts and 2 washers. Uniformly tighten the bolts and nuts in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque 15 Nm (153 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.)
CAMSHAFT BEARING CAP
Uniformly tighten the 10 bearing cap bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque 16 Nm (163 kgf-cm, 12 ft. lbs.)
CAMSHAFT TIMING GEAR ASSEMBLY
Using a 46 mm socket wrench, install and tighten a lock nut by turning it counterclockwise
Torque: 150 Nm (1,530 kgf-cm, 111 ft. lbs.)
LEFT EXHAUST MANIFOLD
Tighten the 7 nuts in the sequence shown in the illustration
Step 1: Torque 49 Nm (500 kgf-cm, 36 ft. lbs.)
Step 2: Retighten nuts 1 and 2 as shown in the illustration
RIGHT EXHAUST MANIFOLD
Uniformly tighten the 6 nuts in the sequence shown in the illustration
Step 1: Torque 49 Nm (500 kgf-cm, 36 ft. lbs.)
Step 2: Retighten nuts 1 and 2 shown in the illustration
