Headlamp Alignment Control Module: Service and Repair

Headlight Leveling ECU:

HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE ECM

4. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU




a. Disconnect the ECU connector.
b. Remove the bolt and ECU.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU




a. Install the ECU with the bolt.
b. Connect the connector.

2. INSTALL ECM
3. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY
4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
