ACTIVE TEST

HINT: Performing the ACTIVE TEST enables components including the relays, VSV (Vacuum Switching Valve) and actuators, to be operated without removing any parts. The ACTIVE TEST can be performed with the intelligent tester. Performing the ACTIVE TEST as the first step of troubleshooting is one method of shortening diagnostic time.

The DATA LIST can be displayed during the ACTIVE TEST.

a. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
b. Turn the ignition switch ON.
c. Turn the tester ON.
d. Select the following menu items: DIAGNOSIS / ENHANCED OBD II / ACTIVE TEST.
