AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH






(a) Temporarily install the compressor and magnetic clutch with the bolts.
HINT: Temporarily tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

2. INSTALL COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH






(a) Install the compressor and magnetic clutch with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm, 18 ft-lbf)
NOTE: Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration to install the compressor and magnetic clutch.





(b) Engage each clamp.
(c) Connect the connector.






(d) Engage the clamp.
(e) Connect the connector.
3. CONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the hose.
(b) Apply sufficient compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the compressor and magnetic clutch.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
(c) Install the O-ring onto the suction hose sub-assembly.






(d) Install the suction hose sub-assembly onto the compressor and magnetic clutch with the bolt.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)
4. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the hose.
(b) Apply sufficient compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the compressor and magnetic clutch.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
(c) Install the O-ring onto the discharge hose sub-assembly.






(d) Install the discharge hose sub-assembly onto the compressor and magnetic clutch with the bolt.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)
5. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY AND FAN ASSEMBLY WITH MOTOR

6. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

7. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

8. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch) Installation

9. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch) Installation

10. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE Installation

11. CONNECT COOLING FAN ECU CONNECTOR

12. CONNECT OIL COOLER HOSE

13. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

14. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

15. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET

16. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET

17. INSTALL BATTERY

18. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation

19. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT

20. CHARGE WITH REFRIGERANT Service and Repair

21. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

22. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH

23. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH Installation

24. INSTALL FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Installation

25. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH

26. WARM UP ENGINE Service and Repair

27. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK Service and Repair

28. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

29. INSPECT AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID

30. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

31. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

32. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
