DESCRIPTION

The hybrid vehicle control ECU contains an HV CPU and an engine CPU. If a signal indicating an abnormality is received from the engine CPU, the HV CPU performs fail-safe control.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (SFI SYSTEM)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine Control / Trouble Codes.
(d) Check if DTCs are output.
