2GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2)
(a) Exhaust side:





(1) Apply a coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.





(2) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
(b) Intake side:





(1) Apply a coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.





(2) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
2. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1)
(a) Exhaust side:





(1) Apply a coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.





(2) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
(b) Intake side:





(1) Apply a coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.





(2) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
3. INSTALL HARNESS PROTECTOR
(a) Connect the 2 studs [A].





(b) Connect the 2 clamps [B].
(c) Connect the 19 connectors [C].
(d) Install the 5 bolts and nut [D].
Torque: 8.3 Nm (84 kgf-cm, 73 in-lbf)
4. TEMPORARILY INSTALL NO. 1 SURGE TANK STAY Installation

5. TEMPORARILY INSTALL THROTTLE BODY BRACKET Installation

6. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY Installation

7. FULLY TIGHTEN NO. 1 SURGE TANK STAY Installation

8. FULLY TIGHTEN THROTTLE BODY BRACKET Installation

9. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE Installation

10. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

11. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

12. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection

13. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

14. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

15. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

16. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH

17. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH

18. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

19. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Installation

20. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY Installation
